A hydroponic Green façade is a constructive system that allows to plantvegetable species in the entire vertical surface of a façade. The structure thatsupports this system is affixed to the façade. On this structure are placeddifferent layers and a hydroponic substrate in which the plants grow.

The green noise barriers are built with:

• Irrigation system. Drip irrigation pipes that soak the substrate.
• Metallic structure. This structure is affixed to the façade. The structureis formed by metallic frames separated 45 – 60 cm
• Waterproof layer. Foamed PVC panel
• Hydroponic substrate. Special rock wool panels for vegetation growth.
• Hydroponic substrate. Geotextile where the vegetation grows.
• Vegetation. The vegetation are plants with little nutrient and waterneeds. They are species resistant to local climate suitable for growingin an inert substrate such as rock wool.
• Water collection system. All the water from the irrigation system iscollected on the bottom of the garden.

In a hydroponic facade we can use the two hydroponic substrates or only one of them.
