The Mersey Forest is a community forest established in 1991 with the vision to “get more from trees” to help make Merseyside and North Cheshire one of the best places in the country to live.
The Mersey Forest champions the importance of planning and developing resilient green infrastructure that can provide a wealth of social environmental and economic benefits.
The Mersey Forest does that through the planning and delivery of The Mersey Forest Plan and by developing a robust evidence base, drawing on the latest research and mapping to target nature based interventions in the places where it will have the greatest impact.
The Mersey Forest is working with partners in Liverpool, one of the three front runner cities, and is leading on the assessment delivery of the URBAN GreenUP demonstration projects in Liverpool.
