GMV is present in the space industry with technologies, systems and services in the areas of remote sensing data processing and exploitation, and the development of GNSS systems and application.
GMV has actively been involved in the Copernicus (former GMES) program, within European Commission framework programs, including successfully coordination of many projects, and is one of the pioneering companies in Spain in the development and implementation of the Galileo program.
The use of information provided by earth observation systems in integrated environments plays an ever growing role in several areas of this activity. Complemented with other converging technologies, such as localization based on GNSS systems and advanced communications, tracking and control centres and user information, this information provides a wide array of systems and services to user communities in industries as diverse as urban planning, green areas monitoring, air quality monitoring, now-casting meteorological products, transportation, agriculture, forestry, infrastructure development, security and more. In this way, GMV provides a wide array of geospatial applications, user segment systems and solutions always tailored to each specific customer. Besides, GMV is partner of Microsoft and ESRI and is routinely involved with INSPIRE compliant datasets handling.
Also, GMV follows Multinational Geospatial Co-Production Program and build OGC compatible products for ensuring interoperability.
